CYT offers classes over the course of three sessions during the school year: Fall, Winter, and Spring. Weekly classes last for two hours and run for ten consecutive weeks. A variety of classes are offered in drama, voice, dance, and specialty classes that vary per session. Most of the classes are small to insure personal attention and growth.

At the end of a CYT session, students will come away with improved skills in the area of emphasis. During the last week of class, a high-energy showcase is presented by each class to demonstrate to other students, family, and friends what they have learned.

Peter Horecka

A 2017 graduate of the Lutheran affiliated Gustavus Adolphus College (St. Peter, MN), I am currently a freelance Audio Engineer in the greater Nashville area. Growing up in Franklin with current CYT Leadership Team member Elise Horecka, I spent my childhood performing with the Starbright and Pulltight community theatre programs, developing a passion for musical theatre and performance. After a quick, two-year stint playing junior hockey in central Canada, I spent the next four years at Gustavus, earning a degree in Communication Studies while also studying vocal performance and performing with the premier concert choir. Joining CYT Nashville is an exciting opportunity as I get to rekindle my passion for musical theatre and performance with the bright, talented young performers here in my hometown. Looking forward to a fun ride!
