Over eight weeks, the class builds one original 10-minute musical from the ground up: crafting the story, developing rich characters, writing lyrics, composing melodies, and rehearsing for performance. Along the way, students learn what makes theatrical songs work, how to collaborate effectively, and how to revise like professionals. Modeled after the legendary BMI Musical Theatre Workshop, this class turns bold ideas into a polished short-form musical - culminating in a live showcase performance.
