Students ages 8–18 have the opportunity to participate in a variety of exciting performance experiences throughout the year. Participation in productions requires an audition. To be eligible to audition for a musical, students must be enrolled in a Studio Class during that session. Students must be registered for a class at the chapter to audition for the show there, so to audition for a Spring Hill show you must be registered for a class at Spring Hill and to audition for a Franklin show you must be registered for a class at Franklin. Auditions are designed to place each student in a role where they can grow, contribute, and have a successful experience. Every student who auditions is encouraged to do their best and embrace the learning process.

Parents are the backbone of CYT! Without them, CYT would not be the family-oriented organization that it is and could not produce the high-quality community shows that it does.

At least one parent of each student cast in the production must serve on a CYT Parent Committee. Options include, but are not limited to: costumes, props, greenroom, sets, front of house, public relations, meal and party, and tech.

Christian Community Theater (CCT) is a community theater program for ages 18+ that has open auditions to the general public. At CYT Nashville, our summer CCT show is our chance for our alumni, parents and other wonderfully talented adults to join together to perform on stage. In the past, we have performed shows such as Godspell and The Drowsy Chaperone. 

Auditions are typically held in mid-May and rehearsals are held weekly on Tues/Thurs evenings from mid-May to end of July when the show goes to the stage! We hire excellent artistic teams to come help our cast make magic, so come be part of CCT and see what the talk is all about!
