Class Description

Question: "How was your audition?"

Answer #1: "It was ok. I don't really know if I did well. I guess we will see if I get a call back."

Answer #2: "It was great! I did my best and I am at peace with whatever happens."

We hope you always give answer # 2 but the reality is that answer # 1 is often what auditions can feel like. Auditioning for a musical can be scary, confusing, and frustrating if you aren't prepared or don't understand what is expected. In this class we want to give you the tools you need to feel confident and successful in your auditions, regardless of the outcome! We will explore the history of musical theater and learn how to research the shows and characters you may audition for in the future. We will focus on song choice and audition techniques to give you the best chance possible for achieving your audition goals! Getting a call back or getting the role of your dreams is wonderful but your main goal for any audition should always be the same as the goal of this class: to walk away with NO REGRETS!
