Acting Through Song explores the art of storytelling in musical theatre by combining acting, character development, and vocal performance. Students will learn how to analyze lyrics, uncover character motivations, and make meaningful performance choices that bring songs to life. Through individual and group work, students will develop skills in interpretation, emotional connection, physical expression, and stage presence while exploring a variety of musical theatre styles and repertoire. Students will conclude the course by preparing and performing a polished musical theatre selection that showcases their growth as musical theatre actors.
