HYPE stands for High school Youth Pursuing Excellence.
The goal of HYPE is to develop the advanced students of CYT as leaders in and outside of CYT, and get involved by serving the community around them. We challenge students to look at all aspects of theater (not just from the actor’s point of view), to continue to grow as individuals, and to commit themselves to excellence in all they do.

Each year, HYPE welcomes new High School applicants (ages 14-18) into the program. Students involved in HYPE may participate in on-going service projects, international missions fundraising, CYT mentoring, and special events. HYPE will also promote spiritual growth in students at their meetings through devotions, prayer and worship. HYPE is an excellent way for students to learn to use their God-given gifts to serve the community inside and outside of CYT!

CYT Tour Group forms each spring and prepares to help showcase CYT to the surrounding area by performing at festivals, churches, childrens' programs and picnics! The mission of the CYT Tour Group is to spread the word of what CYT is all about to the community through performing and serving in local programs. Our Tour Group is by audition only and open to any CYT student age 10-18 years old. The Tour Group will meet during the CYT Spring Session of classes (March to May) and then continue to perform throughout the summer months as performances are secured.
We hope you will consider auditioning for this group or coming out to support them throughout the summer months!

CYT@school offers a variety of theater arts classes for ages 4-18, providing excellent theatrical training with a focus on values and character development. Qualified CYT Teachers travel to area schools to run a 10 week after-school session with a showcase on the final week to share what students have learned.
CYT@school session length and class content can be custom-tailored to fit each school's program needs and interests. Schools may also choose to offer multiple training classes for a variety of age groups. New classes will be offered for each session!
